VINNIE COLAIUTA SIGNATURE SNARES
Legendary Gretsch artist Vinnie Colaiuta sought primary and secondary snare drums with the versatility to meet his performance and studio needs. Collaborating closely with the craftsmen at the Gretsch USA Factory in Ridgeland, South Carolina, they developed two exceptional signature snares that embody all the sonic characteristics Vinnie desired.
Vinnie’s primary snare, measuring 5×14 inches, offers an extensive dynamic range, incredible body, and remarkable sensitivity. The 4×12-inch auxiliary snare delivers an exceptionally loud sound when played with a rimshot. Both drums feature a striking Cobalt Blue finish, designed to complement the Gretsch USA Custom kit used during the Sting/Peter Gabriel “Rock, Paper, Scissors” World Tour.
Key features of both snares include Gretsch USA’s 6-ply North American Maple/Gum shells with Silver Sealer interiors, 4mm die-cast hoops, and Vinnie Colaiuta Signature Gretsch badges:
– 6-ply North American Maple/Gum shells
– Cobalt Blue finish
– Double 45º bearing edges
– 4mm die-cast hoops
– Lightning throw-off and butt plate
– Available in 5×14 inches (primary) and 4×12 inches (auxiliary)
